Platform Architecture
Single Node.js service
One Node process (server.js) handles routing, HTML rendering, and upload APIs. No microservices, no mystery.
File-system case store
Cases are stored as files + JSON metadata under DATA_DIR (default ./data). Easy to inspect, back up, or archive.
Health and smoke checks
GET /health confirms the process is up. Use your own smoke checks against login, upload, and vision before go-live.
Security posture
HTTPS at the edge
Terminate TLS at your host or reverse proxy. The Node app listens on PORT (default 8081) and serves same-origin /api/*.
User-scoped cases
Each case stores the owner ID/email so we can show only their uploads and audit access.
Manual review
No auto-promotion. A human reviews the dashboard + hard-test log before pushing live.
Platform Limitations
This platform is currently in research and development phase. The following limitations apply:
- Non-diagnostic use only. Not intended for clinical decision-making.
- De-identified sample images only. No protected health information (PHI) should be uploaded.
- Analysis results may be incomplete or inaccurate. Do not use for patient care decisions.
